What is Leadership?

All effective leaders have a vision of what they want to accomplish. With vision, a leader has a foundation with which to align and synergise his followers. It is critical that leaders are able to inspire their employees to trust their leadership capabilities. Without trust and clarity of vision, a leader will remain a leader in name only; lacking the ability to lead others until they know what drives and engages his or her followers. It's only then that actions can be taken to motivate those reporting to them.

A popular misconception is that, ‘leaders are born not made’. Leadership is a skill which is be honed and enhanced through developing an understanding of one’s own capabilities. limitations and will to transform as a template for sustainable change.
